Everyday we receive lots of inquiries into Jumparoo rentals and Birthday Parties. To better assist you in making an informed decision, we have provided answers to the most commonly asked questions. If you do not get the information you are looking for here, contact our helpful staff during office hours.

  • Easy-entry ramps greatly aid in exiting and entering. Without ramps there may be a long drop between the entrance and the ground.
  • Netted windows allow for ventilation and easy observation of the participants. They are safer than inflated-wall units in which the participants have a tendency of running and bouncing off the walls into other participants.
  • Safety rules are clearly printed on the front of the unit.
  • All units have passed the Washington State safety inspections.
 
What are the onsite requirements?
Surface: Flat, level and clear of debris (rocks, grass clippings, pet droppings …). Grass is the best. Other surfaces like concrete and hardwood are fine also—but require advanced notice for special materials like ground tarps. An area composed primarily of dirt will not be used in the rain and will always incur a cleaning fee.
Power:
(1) Electric outlet (20 amp / 110v) within 75 feet of each unit. A standard, 3-prong house outlet is normally sufficient to power a Jumparoo. No extension cords may be used. A generator may be available for an additional fee. Let the office know when booking.
Space: Jumparoos generally require a space 18’W x 22’L with a height ranging from 14’ to 22’. Expect to add 5’ - 10’ of space around any inflatable unit. Call for details.
Easy Access: Stairs, steep inclines or paths less than 36” in width (for jumps) may have an additional charge or may even prevent the usage of the inflatable unit.
Window for Delivery and tear down: At least a 2 hour window for delivery and another 2 hour window for take down are requested for delivery scheduling. Setup and take down procedures usually take less than 30 minutes each. These windows are outside of the rental period.
The Customer or their representative: There must be an adult available onsite to sign our rental agreement/liability release form and to direct where the unit will be setup. Once delivered, the usage and care of the equipment is the responsibility of the customer until we pickup the equipment. Additional costs may be incurred if our crew must wait for the customer or their representative to arrive at the site.

IF THE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET, THE SETUP AND USAGE OF THE EQUIPMENT MAY BE PREVENTED.
 
Do you deliver and setup the Jumparoos?
Yes. State law only allows for trained personnel to setup inflatables. Our crew will deliver the units and set them up for safe usage. Operation instructions and safety procedures will be explained during setup. Setup may start as early as 8am or earlier for some events.
 
Are the Jumparoos supervised?
An adult must always supervise the usage of an inflatable unit. With rented equipment it is the responsibility of the customer to provide adult supervision. The rental cost does not include an operator. However, for an additional charge, an operator may be available to monitor the equipment.
 
What about adverse weather?
Because Washington weather is so unpredictable, we recommend customers have an alternate plan in case of rain. Adverse weather including hard rain, snow and high winds may be cause for the cancellation of a Jumparoo rental. Though not waterproof, all Jumparoos have a roof and can be used in the rain (with the exception of the Cake, Circus and Truck styles). To provide further protection against the rain, we cover the sides and roof with a plastic tarp. The 4-in-1 Combo units, slides, interactives and obstacle courses do not have roofs.

If Merry Makers Inc. cancels the delivery of the Jumparoo due to the weather, a full credit will be given to the customer for any monies paid for the event. If the customer chooses to cancel, against the advice of Merry Makers, they will receive up to a 50% credit for any monies paid for the event. Once our personnel are en route to the event, no credit will be given. Merry Makers reserves the final decision on whether a piece of equipment will be delivered or service performed due to weather and safety concerns.

 
What is the rental period?
The standard Jumparoo rental periods are 4 hours, 7 hours and 2 day. This is the jumping time. Setup and take down are not considered part of this time. We offer overnight and after-hours rentals when available. The Prices page has more details.
 
Booking Events
 

Are reservations or deposits required?
Yes and yes. Once you make a booking reservation the item requested is committed toyour event only. It is no longer available to anyone else. A few weeks notice is often sufficient for Jumparoo reservations. We also welcome last minute bookings, although availability may be limited.

 
How do I pay?
We gladly accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Purchase orders are accepted from schools and other organizations. If paying by check, we must receive it in the office at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
 
What if I need to cancel a Jumparoo reservation?
Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances may occur. We will do our best to work with you in rescheduling your event. For weather cancellations, see What about adverse weather?
 
Do you service my area?
We commonly deliver to Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Kent, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Olympia and everywhere in between. Since we have the largest selection of Jumparoos we often service a much larger area, especially on weekdays. For multi-unit rentals we will travel to distant locations. Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured. However, as with any piece of rental equipment the customer is responsible for its usage.
 
Do I tip the performers or delivery crew?
Tipping is always appreciated and always optional. The amount generally ranges from 5%-20%
